Privacy Policy

Last updated 15 September 2026

Robin Kunz built the nag reminder app as a Commercial app. This SERVICE is provided by Robin Kunz and is intended for use as is.

This page is used to inform visitors regarding my policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to use my Service.

If you choose to use my Service, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy. The Personal Information that I collect is used for providing and improving the Service. I will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.

The terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms and Conditions unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy.

Information Collection and Use

You can use nag with reminders stored only on your device. If you choose cloud backup and sign in, nag stores your email address and account identifier through Firebase Authentication. It also stores your reminder text, schedule and settings in Firestore so your reminders can be restored and synchronized across your devices.

Adding a photo to a reminder is optional. The photo is stored locally on your device. If cloud backup is enabled, the photo is also uploaded to Firebase Storage under your signed-in account so it can appear with the same reminder on your other devices. Reminder photos are used only to provide this app functionality. They are not used for advertising, analytics or data selling, and other users cannot access them. Removing the photo or reminder deletes its cloud copy. Deleting your account deletes the account’s cloud data.

The app does use third-party services that may collect information used to identify you. Links to the privacy policies of the third-party service providers used by the app:

Measuring App Advertising

In versions with advertising measurement enabled, nag uses AppsFlyer to understand which advertising campaigns lead to installations and subscriptions. AppsFlyer receives an installation identifier, app and device information, IP address, installation and app-opening times, and available campaign information. On iOS this can include the identifier for this app vendor. nag does not provide AppsFlyer with your email, phone number, reminder content, photos or support messages. nag does not collect the Apple or Google advertising identifier for this integration.

RevenueCat links subscription events to the AppsFlyer installation identifier. It sends purchase and subscription information, including product, transaction, timing and revenue data, so we can measure the revenue generated by campaigns. Configured advertising partners can receive campaign-related installation and purchase reports. On iOS, Apple's SKAdNetwork also sends delayed reports with limited, aggregated attribution information. These reports do not identify an individual person.

Support Messages

nag gives you two ways to write to me: the founder chat and the bug report form. Both are optional. If you never write, nothing in this section applies to you.

The first time you open the founder chat, the app signs you in anonymously in the background. This creates a permanent anonymous Firebase account for that device. It carries no name and no email address, and it is separate from a nag account you may already have. It exists for one reason: so that only your own device can read your own conversation.

A support message is stored in Firestore together with your message text, that anonymous account identifier, a random installation identifier the app generates for itself, your platform, the app version, the operating system version, your language setting, and whether you have a subscription. The bug report form additionally stores the email address from your account and a photo, if you attach one. The founder chat stores no email address.

Every message you send is also emailed to me, so that I can read it and answer. That email is delivered by AgentMail, the service provider that runs my support mailbox. AgentMail handles the message on my behalf and for no other purpose. My reply travels back the same way and appears in the chat inside the app.

Only you and I can read your conversation. I keep support conversations for as long as I need them to answer you and to understand what was reported. They are not deleted automatically, and deleting your nag account does not delete them, because a conversation has two sides. If you want yours removed, write to support@nagreminder.com and I will delete it.

Support messages are never used for advertising or analytics, and they are never sold.
